It’s 2022 and the Early Careers Network is back. We are starting the conversation this year by talking about Volunteered Geographic Information (VGI). VGI is about crowd sourcing data and usually involves empowering the public to collect data on your behalf. There are heaps of benefits to this approach but also a few things that need some serious thinking about before you start.
We are delighted to be joined by Dan Ormsby (Head of Ops, Astun Technology) and Jack Cornish (Programme Manager, The Ramblers) to kickstart the conversation and provide their insights of running Volunteered Geographic Information (VGI) projects.
Join us for a virtual networking event where we can all share the tips and tricks we have learned from the projects we’ve run, what expectations people have on us as data owners and what we need to consider to make sure our project is successful.
Not run a project of your own yet? We’d still love to hear from you. Why not come along and pick up some ideas for your next VGI project?
Registration for this event is now CLOSED.
If you still wish to join us at 12:00 today, please feel free to contact info@agi.org.uk and we can provide you with the joining instructions.
