AGI Cymru’s annual GeoCymru is a well-established event that I have been pleased to personally support as both a sponsor and Steering Group Committee member for many years. In April this year I became Chair of AGI Cymru and I looked forward to helping deliver another programme of exciting and relevant content for Wales.
As lockdown affected the nation, the Committee took the decision to move from a full day faceto-face conference to delivering a webinar. Our focus was on how data insights and analytics
supported responses to Covid-19 across Wales.
It was incredibly rewarding to be part of the webinar which took place on 9th October with my fellow Committee members and which brought together industry sponsor presentations and community speakers to over 90 people for 3 informative and thought-provoking hours.
I’m delighted to have been part of such a successful morning along with my fellow committee members and to continuing to represent the views of people, communities and organisations in Wales. My thanks go to all our sponsors and everyone who made the event the success it was and to everyone that joined us on the day.
