Activities and Achievements report for 2009 now published

"AGI has achieved a lot in a challenging year. Membership income reductions have been kept very low, the conference was highly successful, the events programme in general exceeded its objectives and AGI has successfully engaged with the UK Location Council and Programme. We celebrated our 20th Anniversary and welcomed many figures from our formative years taking part in this. This was on top of successes in outreach, policy responses and CPD".

Chair of UK Location User Group announced

The UK Location Council today announced Mick Cory as the Chair of the UK Location User Group.  He is currently a Director in the Department of Culture, Arts and Leisure, Northern Ireland. Prior to that he was Chief Executive of the Ordnance Survey of NI and has worked for 28 years in the field of geographic information.
