Excellent opportunity to sponsor two AGI Annual Awards

Every year in November, the AGI celebrates and marks outstanding achievement and innovation in the UK geocommunity at the AGI Annual Awards.

This year will be the 23rd year of the awards and presently two of the award categories have become available for sponsorship.

The two awards are as follows:

  • Innovation and Best Practice (Private Sector) Award
  • AGI Student of the Year Award

If your organisation operates in either or both of these sectors perhaps you would like to support these national geographic information awards? Not only would you be helping to award achievement and innovation, but it would also clearly associate your organisation with these sectors and its dedication to their development.

Sponsorship of each award is only £525 ex VAT. If you would like further information about sponsoring one or both of the awards please email Chris Holcroft, AGI Director & CEO.

AGI GeoCommunity '12: Another bumper crop of paper abstracts

Once again AGI GeoCommunity has proven popular with interested conference speakers.

This year the conference community has received no less than 92 paper abstracts for consideration. This is more than double what can usually be accommodated in the AGI GeoCommunity conference programme.

"We are extremely pleased at the level of interest shown in AGI GeoCommunity by speakers" said Chris Holcroft, AGI Director & CEO. "It reflects the currency and relevance of the event format and its popularity as a platform for the sharing of experience, innovation and best practice. I would like to thank everyone who has submitted an abstract and wish them the best of luck during the forthcoming marking and programme setting process.

The AGI GeoCommunity '12 conference committee, (chaired by Jeremy Morley of the University of Nottingham), will gather in Nottingham at the end of May to agree and construct this year's programme and is busy in the meantime marking all the abstracts received. The conference programme will be published in early June.
