Are you passionate about the future of geographic information? Do you want to make a real difference in how we train and support the current and next generation of geospatial professionals?
The Association for Geographic Information (AGI) is inviting members to join its Education & Skills Working Group. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the direction of education, skills development, and outreach across the UK’s geospatial sector.
Whether you’re an experienced practitioner, an early-career professional, an educator, or someone working to bridge industry and academia, your insight is valuable. We want people who care about making geospatial careers more visible, accessible, and inclusive.
As a member of the group, you’ll:
- Collaborate with like-minded professionals from across the sector
- Influence AGI’s strategic work on skills policy delivery and education
- Help design initiatives that promote geospatial learning with professionals
- Support the development of resources and events that inspire future talent
The group meets regularly online, once a month, every last Wednesday at 1:00pm, and time commitments are flexible to fit around your existing role. This is a chance to give back to the profession, broaden your network, and help steer where we go next.
If you’re curious, keen, or full of ideas, we’d love to hear from you!
To express interest or find out more, email Patrick Rickles on patrick.rickles@agi.org.uk. If you’d like to join, please send through a short statement letting us know your interest in the group and a copy of your CV and/or link to your LinkedIn Profile.
Let’s build the future of geospatial together.
